What it’s like to use

The cushion is shaped to line up with the natural curve of the lower spine, and attaches to the chair with adjustable elastic bands so it stays put rather than sliding down the backrest. Because the foam is high density, it is meant to keep its shape through a long working day.

The cover is washable and the cushion is light enough to carry between a desk chair and a car. It is a no-frills design, which is the point: it does one job at a mid-range price.

Pros

Good value at under $40 with a large review base
Elastic bands help it stay in place on the chair
High-density memory foam shape
Light enough to move between chair and car

Cons

Plain design with no cooling or extra features
4.3★ is solid but not the highest in this comparison
Elastic bands may not suit very wide or mesh-backed chairs

Who it’s best for

A sensible first lumbar cushion for an office chair at a mid-range price.
